Mr. and Mrs. Douglas K. Fishback of Yakima are delighted to announce the engagement of their daughter, Abigail Spring Fishback to Robert Ignacio Cencil, formerly of Barrigada, Guam.

The groom-to-be is the son of Evelyn Celi and the late Edgar Celi. The bride-to-be is a graduate of Washington State University and works for US Bank. The groom-to-be received his post-secondary education at Guam Community College and is employed with a national security firm. Both currently live in Seattle, WA.

The couple is planning a July 2013 wedding at St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church in Yakima.

The bride-to-be graduated from White Swan High School, is a graduate of Yakima Valley Community College, and is currently a junior in the Washington State University College of Nursing. The Groom-to-be graduated from Selah High school, attended Yakima Valley Community College and is currently employed by Upper Valley Farms and Vet-ex Animal Health Supply.

The wedding is planned for August 9, 2013 at Naches Heights Vineyard in Naches, WA.

Ernesto Garcia and Charity Rochelle Berg were united in marriage on September 8, 2012 at the Sesnon House in Aptos, CA.

Charity is the daughter of Corey and Ann Berg of Yakima, WA and Ernesto is the son of Casimira Garcia of King City, CA.

It was a gorgeous day full of family, friends and flowers. The afternoon ceremony was held outdoors on the stairs of the estate. The officiant was Josh Englehardt, who is a minister at their church, The Coastlands. Nelly Vaquera served as maid of honor and Felipe Dominguez was best man. Other attendants were Linnea Evans, Misty Gattis, Jenny Cyr, Santos Garcia, Sam Torres and Bruce Cyr. Cousin of the Bride, Paris Wilson, and
niece of the Groom, Sarah Lomeli, were ring bearer and flower girl. Ushers were Casey Berg, brother of the Bride, and Christopher Garcia, nephew of the Groom.

Dinner and dancing followed into the evening with their departure being capped off by a short fireworks display.

Ernesto and Charity enjoyed an amazing honeymoon to New Zealand and Tahiti. They currently reside in Watsonville, CA.

Together with family and friends, Molly Meghan McGree and Cody Ryan Lamb, were married June 23, 2012 at St. Paul Cathedral Church in Yakima, WA.

A beautiful reception, dinner and dance at La Salle High School followed the ceremony.

The parents of the bride are Meg and Tim McGree of Yakima, WA. The parents of the groom are Paulette and Dick Lamb of Green River, Wyoming.

Molly graduated from La Salle High School in Yakima. Cody graduated from Green River High School in Green River, WY. Cody and Molly are both
graduates of Carroll College in Helena, MT, and now both work at Molly’s alma mater, La Salle High School. Cody is a history and HPE teacher at La
Salle, where he also helps coach football and track. Molly is the administrative assistant and marketing/development assistant.

Molly’s wedding party included Kathleen McGree as maid-of-honor and bridesmaids Meagan McGree, Erin McGree, Tracy Miller, Jessica Sullivan, Theresa Anderton, Alysha Green, Jillian Jagelski, Sara Meyer and Amy Allen.

Cody’s wedding party included Justin and Weston Lamb as co-best men and groomsmen Timmy McGree, Mikey McGree, Steven Halvorson, Zack
Schaal, Cody Zimmerman, Kevin Jam, TJ Lehman, and Garrett Thompson.

Following a honeymoon to Montego Bay, Jamaica, the newlywed couple is at home in Yakima, WA.

Nathanael Lynch and Charlotte Graf were married December 22, 2012 at Swiftwater Cellars at Suncadia.

Charlie Ann’s parents are Ben and Kiki Graf of Selah. Nate is the son of Chris and Shirley Lynch, also of Selah.

The bride was attended by her many sisters. Mary Michael Graf served as maid of honor. Sisters, Lacie Graf Hansen and Meggie Powell, as well as sisters-in-law, Esther Lynch and Theresa Lynch were bridesmaids. Best man was the groom’s brother, Daniel Lynch. The groom’s friends served as groomsmen: Andy Hoover, Skyler Cheney, Paul Schut and TJ Hesselgesser. The bride’s cousin, Lexie Graf, and friend, Jamie Alliston were candlelighters. Bride’s cousin, Maria Meiners, was the reader. The ceremony was offi ciated by friend, Tyler VanHorn of First Presbyterian Church.

The bride is a graduate of Selah High School, and is currently attending the WSU School of Nursing in Spokane. The groom, who was home schooled, graduated from WSU and is a mechanical engineer, working for HOTSTART, Inc. in Spokane.

Following a honeymoon in Hawaii, the couple has settled in Spokane.

Steve and Karen Erickson of Outlook are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Juliana Maxine Erickson to Matthew Allan Van Wingerden. He is the son of John and Janey Van Wingerden of Sunnyside.

The bride-to-be graduated from the University of Washington with a B.A. in English and currently is a second year law student at Seattle University School of Law. She will graduate in 2014 with her Juris Doctorate. The bridegroom-to-be graduated from Calvin College, Grand Rapids, Michigan with a B.A. degree in business.

He currently is self-employed at Outlook Growers LLC and Van Wingerden Greenhouses in Sunnyside.

Both are graduates of Sunnyside Christian High School.

A summer wedding is planned.

Bride-to-be attended West Valley High School before graduating from YVCC with a nursing degree. She is a registered nurse at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital. Groom-to-be attended Davis High school and YVCC. He is employed as a laboratory Phlobotomist at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital.

Olivia and Juan will marry August 17, 2013.

Thomas and Bonnie celebrated their 50th anniversary on March 30.

Tom Catron and Bonnie Craig were married March 30, 1963 in Carson City, NV, while Tom was serving in the United States Air Force, stationed in California.

They have lived in Yakima for 47 years. Tom is retired from his construction and excavating business. Bonnie retired from Tree Top Inc.

They have a son, Scott and a daughter, Laura. They have two grandsons, Kolten and Zachery Catron.

John and Fran Tierney celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on March 30th with friends and family.

John Tierney and Fran Loveland (Andreas) were married April 2, 1973 at the Yakima County Courthouse by Judge Les Vannice. They made their home in Western Washington until their retirements in 1998 when they returned to Selah.

John is a retired Captain of the Washington State Patrol, and was in charge of the State Patrol Training Academy for several years. Fran retired as an assistant vice president in charge of residential and commercial loans for a major bank in Western Washington.

The couple has four children, John (Sara) Tierney of Bonney Lake, WA; Carolee (Jay) Hall of Yelm, WA; Randy (Lori) Loveland of Covington, WA; and Kurt (Kelly) Loveland of Gilbert, AZ. They have 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

An anniversary trip is planned for late spring.

Roland and Lorainne (Anderson) Duncan were married April 3, 1948 at Donnely Hotel in Yakima by Reverend Robert D. Kutz.

Roland retired from Simplot in Moxee and Lorainne retired from Del Monte in Toppenish.

The couple have four children, Pat Duncan of Ritzville, Joy Underwood of Yakima, Noel Duncan of
Prosser and Janine Stoltz of Puyallup. They have 11 grandchildren and five great grandchildren and a new one in June.

They were married in Van Nuys, CA in 1978.

Jerry used to work at SunRype in Selah and Lindy is a homemaker.

They have one son, Jason and one daughter-in-law, Christy along with one granddaughter, Amanda, also two step-grandchildren Jessica and Norman of Selah, WA.

Jerry and Lindy have lived in Yakima since 1981.

Mr. Gary L. Smith and Mrs. Shelly A. Smith (L’Allier) were married April 7, 1973, at First Baptist Church in White Bear Lake, Minnesota.

Mr. Smith was born in Yakima, son of the late Bob & Ruby Smith. Mrs. Smith was born
in Centerville, daughter of the late Albert & Delia L’Allier.

Mr. Smith has worked for Safeway for the past 40 years. Mrs. Smith is a stay at home grandmother. She enjoys caring for her grandchildren on a daily basis.

They are the parents of three children: Bridgett, wife of Ryan Boyd, Yakima; Janea, wife of Roger Allred, Union Gap; and Becky, married to Chris Denman, Kennewick.

They have five grandchildren, Dane, Coby, Delia, Ally, & Zaylee. They also have one granddog, JellyBean.

Troy and Mary Ann Mertell are celebrating their 60th anniversary on April 30. They were married on April 30, 1953 in San Diego, CA.

We moved to Wapato in 1973 and Troy is retired from the Wapato School District. Mary worked for Valley Fruit and both are now retired.

We will be celebrating later in the year with a trip to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. We will also be dining with family and friends later in the month.
